With its uniquely camphoraceous aroma, Eucalyptus essential oil also has minty, spicy notes that are refreshing. Native to Australia, it is all about air! The pleasant fragrance clears the head and lungs to reduce the severity of cold symptoms and reduce the impact of seasonal allergy symptoms.
From the Greek eucalyptos, meaning "well covered" the name refers to the formation of the eucalyptus flowers. Australian aboriginals have long used eucalyptus medicinally for wound care and as a fumigant, it is also referred to in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. In Western medicine, it is often used in cough and cold preparations. Steam distilled, the oil is cooling to the senses.
Eucalyptus essential oil is also renowned for its properties that may alleviate headaches and boost mental clarity, particularly when feeling overwhelmed and fatigued.

Enjoy the cleansing properties of Eucalyptus essential oil and create a surface spray to clean bench tops, tables, and bathroom surfaces

Inhibit mould growth and use Eucalyptus essential oil in your vacuum cleaner, to clean tiles, baths and showers
Surface Cleaner: Mix 250mL water, 140mL White Vinegar, 20 drops Eucalyptus essential oil, 1 tablespoon dishwashing liquid and shake vigorously in a glass spray bottle. Shake well before each use.
Clear Sinuses: Pour a cup of boiling water into a bowl and add 1–2 drops of Eucalyptus essential oil to it. Then place a towel over your head and inhale the scent deeply for 5 to 10 minutes.
Relieve Cough: Make a Vapor Rub that’s a combination of eucalyptus and peppermint essential oil, or apply 2–3 drops of eucalyptus to your chest and back of neck.
Shower: Add 2-3 drops to the floor of your shower and enjoy the benefits of steam inhalation.
Massage: Mix 1 -2 drops in tablespoon of carrier oil and apply as required.
Hair Care: Combine 4-5 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil, 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil, 2 teaspoons Jojoba oil in a ceramic dish and warm in a microwave for 30 seconds. Apply with fingers to scalp and massage through hair. Leave for 15 minutes then wash out. Use once a week to nourish hair.
In the Diffuser of your choice:
Add 6-8 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil
Topical use:
Dilute 1 - 2 drops in a tablespoon of carrier oil and apply to pulse points, chest, temples or back of the neck (or as required).
