BEING GOOD TOGETHER WITH EAT UP
HELPING CHILDREN IN NEED
At Base Essentials we are passionate about BEING GOOD, TOGETHER; our philanthropic program working towards achieving our mission; a happy, healthy and connected world we can all be proud of. In partnership with Eat Up Australia, every order $100 and over donates to this extremely worthy, local cause to assist children in need.
WHAT IS ‘EAT UP’
Eat Up is an organisation that is working to help feed disadvantaged school children. One in 3 Australian students experience food scarcity. Lack of proper nutrition directly affects physical and mental health, which has a multitude of impacts on a child's schooling, and their ability to keep up with their peers. A recent survey showed that 62% of schools reported most, if not all, students required the help of Eat Up due to family hardship and financial struggle.
HOW DO THEY HELP?
The work that Eat Up does improves a students ability to concentrate and participate in the class room by 75%, boosting confidence and improving their overall learning experience. Eat Up lunches were reported to improve overall school attendance by 40%. Over 400,000 sandwiches were donated to schools across Australia in 2021, meaning that 400,000 students nationwide had access to a nutritional lunch who might otherwise have had to go without.
HOW IT WORKS
We understand the importance of improving the quality of schooling for young children, and working towards ending the food scarcity issue in Australia. For every order over $100 and over, Base Essentials will donate $5 to Eat Up. This supplies pays for 5 sandwiches, and feeds 5 school kids in need, or provides a whole week of lunches for one student.
To put it into perspective, by buying one Base Essential Ultrasonic Ceramic Diffuser ($100), one BASE kit ($128), or 3-4 of our oils can feed a hungry student for one week.
Our partnership with Eat Up is a simple yet incredibly purposeful contribution to our Australian community, helping our younger generations to flourish into bright futures.
